Walker’s research focuses on improving the breeding pipeline for various crops including lima bean and maize. His MS research focused on styding the physiological and lipid-metabolism related responses to heat-stress in peanut (Arachis hypogaea), providing him with a broad skillset including molecular biology, management of greenhouse systems, plant pathology, and crop physiology.
